|
| Arrival and Set Up |
|
|
| We arrived at the location at
8:30pm for the investigation. Weather conditions: Temperatures
in the mid 30's, clear skies. It was dark and the moon full; it
was a beautiful night for an investigation. The site is large,
at 110+acres, and includes several abandoned buildings. After
meeting with the property owner's representatives we set out for
the investigation. |
|
|
| Jerry's team (Jerry, Stephanie, and
Katie) set up to video recorders in two of the buildings and
began our investigation. Joining us were the two representatives
of the property owner who were very interested in the hunt for
paranormal activity. |
|
|
| The Investigation |
|
|
| As mentioned, several abandoned
buildings stand on the site, and we were able to spend time in
each of the buildings we judged as safe. The first building we
went into we did EVP work and shot some photos and left a
digital voice recorder recording. |
|
|
| We then moved onto another building
much larger than the first. We shot photos and did EVP work.
Stephanie and Jerry both felt a presence in the room, in the
northeastern corner and went to that area several times. We
heard knocks coming from that part of the building, and noted
spikes on our EMF detector. |
|
|
| We moved on to a third building. It
was this building that while Jerry was setting up video
equipment he observed a shadow move past him. We heard some
knocking, and a mouse scampered near Jerry's foot. We shot
photos and did EVP work. All of us had the feeling that there
was a presence in there. |
|
|
| When one of our investigators, Mae,
was in the fourth building, she suddenly felt pain in her hip
which lasted for a few minutes and was so intense that she
couldn't walk. On our voice recordings, we hear a voice saying "pop,
pop, pop" and then we hear Mae crying out in pain. Does
this mean that the presence in the room caused the pain? We
think so, but of course there's no real way to prove this. |
|
|
| When we were in the last building,
also the largest, we heard knocking and asked many questions.
Katie felt uneasy in this building and had feelings of
dizziness. While doing an EVP session we asked whomever was
there with us to repeat a number of our choice that each of us
whispered into our hand (no one else could hear), Stephanie
heard a voice say "4". When asked, Jerry said he said
the number 4 into his palm. |
|
|
| We all had personal experiences on
this investigation, but one of the best was when two of our
investigators, Mae and George walked down a trail near a lake
where it was reported that a man had been murdered back in the
1930s. As they looked for the place that was mentioned to
set up a night vision camera, the trail seemed to wind around
forever and it became darker and darker. They felt that the
further they went the more eerie and strange their surroundings
became and they had creepy feelings. |
|
|
| When they finally approached the
end of the trail/road and began to set up the camera, they heard
noises that sounded like an animal about to charge them. They
heard snorting and pawing of hooves and just as suddenly as it
began it stopped. They feared for their safety for a moment but
went on to discover a fence. Whether or not the noises were made
by a phantom animal or a real animal still is undetermined, but
the investigators looked for animals but found none. |
|
|
| We wrapped up our investigation
around 1:00am. |

|
| Summary and Evidence |
|
|
| This investigation was an awesome
experience for the SIM crew. It was a very large site including
several buildings that potentially held paranormal activity. The
two property representatives who where there with us showed
great interest in our craft and asked if they could accompany
us, and did so for most of the investigation. It was a pleasure
for us to show off what we do, and the opportunity to teach them
about the supernatural was exciting. They were fabulous
students, and they brought delicious home made cookies for us to
munch on :) |
|
|
| As we analyzed the recordings and
photos from the investigation we were pleasantly surprised by
our findings. The digital voice recorder we left in the first
building we visited captured a significant amount of activity in
the building. We heard footsteps throughout the recording when
no team members occupied the building, as well as disembodied
voices. |
|
|
| The EVP's captured are many, and we
heard answers to our questions as well as some random sentences,
including what we feel is a residual haunting, a voice that says
"Tony kicked ass!" |
|
|
| Unfortunately, we didn't capture
anything on our video footage. Our digital still cameras caught
orbs, and the most exciting of these was in the last building we
investigated. We felt and heard a presence in part of the room
and began asking questions. We heard a "get out" on
the recordings. When we were sure someone was there with us, the
photographs tell the story well. The first photo shows the chair
with nothing around; the second photo shows numerous orbs in
that chair, almost like whomever was there with us was trying to
manifest itself. |
|
|
| The Reveal |
|
|
| Jerry, Mae and Stephanie from SIM
were present, as well as several people at the reveal including
the two ladies who had accompanied us on the investigation. We
took this as another opportunity to educate others about what we
do. We feel that we did a good job teaching our audience about
the various aspects of we do. Our audience was intrigued at the
evidence we produced. This is an active property, and we were
pleased when they invited us back for another investigation next
year. |
|
|
| We feel that there is substantial
supernatural activity on this property and look forward to
another investigation there. |
