| Supernatural Investigators of Minnesota Case Notes |
|
|
Investigation Dates: April 23 and May 1, 2010
Location: The bridge connects Boom Island to Nicollet Island in
the Mississippi River, Minneapolis, Minnesota |
|
|
| SIM Investigators present: Jerry Ayres, Mae Kelley,
Stephanie Ayres, Katie Sonmor, Kacie Ayres, George Donaldson |
|
|
| Our investigation began at 11:00pm.
There were no clouds and it was very dark. We arrived at the
bridge and immediately felt what we like to call an invisible
barrier, a presence was with us. We begin our evp sessions and
shooting photographs. At several times througout our
investigation we had personal experiences, however, they are
clearly not evidence. The photos showed some unexplainable "gook"
in the air, perhaps orbs, however, orbs are not ghosts; they are
simply indications of paranormal activity. We did get a couple
hits on our audio, a ghostly voice, and something that sounds
like a phantom train, but no clear evidence. |
|
|
| We decided that we would follow up this session with
another. |

May 1, 2010
SIM Investigators present: Jerry, Stephanie, Kacie, and Katie
|
|
|
| We arrived at the bridge at
10:30pm, the weather was not cooperating this night. It was
lightly raining. None of us felt any presences. We pulled out
our voice records and cameras. Nothing out of the oridinary
happened, and so we departed. |
|
|
| While having coffee, we went
through our photos, and found some astounding things. We decided
it merited another trip to the bridge. We arrived at 1:30am,
cameras and voice recorders in hand. The feelings of other
presences filled the bridge this time around. We immediately
started voice recordings and shooting photos. Jerry saw a shadow
moving back and forth on the south side of the bridge and
alerted us. Kacie was able to visibly see this phenominon as
well and Katie captured somthing lookiing at us from that side.
|
|
|
| We reviewed all evidence, and though we came up wtih
nothing on our EVP Sessions, we clearly had some evidence in the
photographs. |
|
|
| Our conclusion to the investigation of this very old bridge
is that supernatural activity is present there. |
|
| Historical Information |
| One should understand that this
area of the Mississippi is rich in history. This mile stretch of
the great river is the birthplace of Minneapolis, and people
have lived and died in this place along the river going back to
the late 1600's. Boom Island was home to a huge lumber operation
until the late 1890's when a catastrophic fire destroyed it. The
Wisconsin Central Railroad came into play during the late 1890's
and built a railroad hub on Boom Island at the turn of the
century, and constructed the bridge in 1901. In the mid 1900's
this area was in disrepair and became blighted, and crime
abounded. In the 1970's the City purchased the land and filled
in the river between Boom Island and the opposite shore to
create what is now Boom Island Park. |
